Um, what's wrong with audio files? They can do things that text files cannot.
Is this some contemporary analog to when people would get pissed off because they had to click on an icon, when typing a command with a bunch of abstract switches was sooo much easier?
Grow up. Just because you know how to use a computer doesn't mean you have to give up on 4 of your 5 senses.
OK, I can understand somebody cluelessly clicking on an audio file by accident. I'm dumbfounded that they would then find the hosting site and bitch about it in the comments.
Also, Z should be a regular.
Well I'll give you a reason why audio content isn't so good...
The Internet was a boon for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing... but with the move towards podcasts and video for news and things like this. It's a giant step backwards for us. We're getting shut out again.
Wow, guys - chill out! It's just a web page. I agree, though - I would have preferred text because I'm like that. Maybe a transcript included would be a good idea for next time.

Forget the audio file! those poor contributors and editors have their email addys plastered all over this page. Id hate to see their inbox. Someone we ALL know could have a field day slurping those all up.

All the people griping about audio files: What part of the word "podcast" is unclear? When, pray tell, was the last text-based podcast you heard...or rather, read? /snark
As for a transcript, sure. Which one of you is going to ante up the time to type it? I'm sure most folks don't realize this, but Geekdad is a strictly volunteer enterprise. So someone who wants a transcript, I suspect all you need to do is type it up, and we'll be happy to post it alongside the podcast. Have at it!
