The family of an Angus man who has been missing for 14 years have appealed for him to let them know where he is.
Stewart Cook, from Arbroath, was last seen in the town on 2 September 1994, at the time he was 39 years old.
The charity Missing People is also using the anniversary of his disappearance to renew its appeal to trace him.
It has a great concern for his welfare as it has been so long since he was last in touch with anyone.
'No ill will'
Mr Cook's father, James, 81, said: "I couldn't think why he'd disappear. I'd never expected anything like that to happen - that he would never come back or never be in contact.
"We would just like to know where he is, what's happening to him, we don't know whether he's alive or dead.
"Just get in touch - there's no ill will. Just get in touch with his dad or sisters. We'd just like to know where he is."
As part of its new appeal, Missing People has included Mr Cook on its online 'missing map'.
Brian Cowan, a regional spokesperson for the charity, said: "Missing People is hoping that our new publicity appeal will finally generate the information we need to find Stewart."
Mr Cook is 5ft 11in tall with brown eyes. When last seen he was of medium-build with short, black hair.
A seaman by trade, he has a tattoo of a ship on his lower right arm.
