Position Description -
This position will be based in Lawrenceville, NJ with rotations to the Central New Jersey and Wallingford, CT sites at approximate 6 month intervals. Will continuously have contact in the Lawrenceville site.
Determines what equipment is to be monitored by the predictive maintenance technologies i.e., laser alignment, thermography, oil analysis, vibration monitoring and the appropriate alarm levels. Establishing equipment criticality ranking and applying PM and PdM tools to critical equipment. Monitors and reports performance of the site RCM program to ensure best practices, benefits and opportunitiesare identified. Performs root cause failure analysis on chronic maintenance to increase reliability and reduce life cycle costs. Prepares and publishes monthly Asset Health Reports which identify the performance of the RCM program. Eliminating or adjusting scheduled PM activities based on PdM information and Assists operations and maintenance in developing procedures and training material to ensure equipment is maintained and operated properly, and the inherent reliability of the component is achieved. Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the PM PdM activities based on failure mode and effect analysis. Develops new systems, practices, policies and procedure pertaining to maintenance and operations activities to enhance the performance of the business. Insures asset tags are tagged posted and asset data sheets collected on new site equipment. Motivating site personnel to adopt a functional reliability focus. Establishing a continuously improving philosophy in reliability. Prioritizing the work activities on the Asset Health Report based on equipment criticality and the consequences of the failure. Periodically reviews and measuring the effectiveness and applicability of the existing PM and PdM program activities to ensuring the PM procedures are accurateand thorough. Ensuring new designs and modifications incorporate reliability, maintainability, operability, and life cycle costing reviews. Interfaces with Engineering to insure adequate testing requirements and operational instructions are met for proper startup of rebuilt, modified, or new equipment.
Position Requirements -
The ideal candidate will possess Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably reliability or mechanical. Minimum of five years related maintenance experience and five years RCM experience. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional CMRP certification. Desired Knowledge of RCM, CMMS systems and PdM technology software. Strong knowledge of preventive predictive maintenance processes and practices to improve equipment reliability. Understanding of financial management as it relates to capital, expense spending and its impact on the departmental budget. Understanding of facilities and building maintenance activities and functions including utilities infrastructures. Design Reliability and Lifecycle Costing. Understanding of regulatory, environment, GMP GLP, and OSHA regulations. Experienced in the day to day operations of major facilities of diverse types with uses encompassing office and research functions to ensure all preventive and predictive maintenance processes meet or exceed goals for reliability and customer support. Knowledge of laboratory, office buildings, pilot plants, data centers and utility plant design, construction, maintenance and operations. Possess strong analytical skills for the logical troubleshooting of maintenance problems. Demonstrated experience in creating, identifying and implementing new and innovated ideas technologies for successful development of business opportunities.
