Aussie game charts: June 2-June 8
Mario Kart Wii reclaims the top spot down under.
Five weeks after it debuted at number one, Mario Kart Wii is finally reclaiming the top podium position in the Australian games chart, according to data trackers GfK Australia.
Ever since Mario Kart Wii's release, the Wii Play with Wii Remote bundle hasn't been far behind in the charts, and last week was no exception, with the bundle taking out second place for the week of June 2-June 8. Newcomer Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures on the PlayStation 2 can be found in third place, with its Wii counterpart in 10th. SingStar Party Hits has risen up three spots to number four. The reigning champion for the past month, Wii Fit, has fallen dramatically from being last week's top dog to this week's fifth spot. The Grand Theft Auto IV duo has slipped again this week, with the Xbox 360 version in sixth place and the PlayStation 3 version in seventh. Buzz! Pop Quiz can be found in the eighth spot, whereas Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundle for the PlayStation 2 can be found rocking it out at number nine.
Despite not making it to number one in the overall chart, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures has managed to have a strong presence in every chart except the PC charts. It even managed to take out the first positions in the PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable charts.
