Aussie game charts: June 16-22
Konami's hit PS3 game remains king of the charts down under.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has spent its second consecutive week at the top of the Australian game charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia. The game, which was released in Australia on June 12, sees Solid Snake go on his final mission as he attempts to stop Liquid Snake and uncover the truth about the Patriots.
MGS4 wasn't the only one to stand firm from last week, with the Wii Play/Wii Remote bundle remaining in second spot for the week of June 16-June 22. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon duo--Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time--have taken out both the third and fourth positions, respectively. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures on the PlayStation 2 slipped down a spot to number five, whereas the PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV moved up into number six. Crossword DS for the Nintendo DS can be found in seventh place, and the Xbox 360 version of GTAIV is in at number eight. Wii Fit has fallen again to number nine, and last but not least is Grid, which can be found at number 10.
